I’m now doing lessons over the Internet using a program such as Skype that allows audio and visual communication in real time with minimal delay anywhere in the world. Skype is free to download and free to use. It is very much like having a lesson in person; my hands are visible as are yours.
Areas of Study
Some of the areas of interest that I cover include:
Developing technique for right or left hand,
Learning tunes,
Chord voicings and/or comping,
Chord melody,
Developing new harmonic ideas for solos,
Anything that you always wanted to know about playing jazz on the guitar.
For more information about how this works, email me and I'll be happy to answer any questions about the process.
I teach all levels of jazz guitar, from those just starting out to post-graduate.
Schedule
Students have the option of a single lesson(s), a regular lesson once a week or every two weeks. I can work with anyone in any time zone.
Cost
Lessons are $50 US for 45 minutes payable via Paypal.
What You Need
To have a lesson, you would need:
1) Access to a computer with a camera and microphone
2) Fast enough internet connection
3) Paypal account.
If you don’t have this at home, maybe a friend does or you have access through school? If you know others who might be interested in lessons you could arrange to do consecutive lessons at the same location.
