Andrew Green is a guitarist residing in New York City. A professional musician since the age of 15, he has played with Donald Byrd, Billy Hart, Joanne Brackeen, John McNeil, Winard Harper, Mat Maneri, Chip Jackson, Matt Wilson, Ralph LaLama and Dave Berkman, among others. He is the author of three best-selling guitar books: Jazz Guitar Comping, Jazz Guitar Technique and Jazz Guitar Structures.
Andrew has been a faculty member at Jazz In July at UMass and The Mile High Jazz Camp at The University of Colorado, and has presented clinics across the US and Canada.
Andrew's arranging chops are demonstrated on the forthcoming CD, "Narrow Margin" which features some of the brightest lights of the current generation of jazz players: Bill McHenry, Russ Johnson and John Hebert.
He recently added the title of producer to his resume with the release of Adele Zane's new CD "A Stranger in Town" which he also arranged and played all guitar parts.
